Movie Credits
[edit]He's done many more and much better films than the abysmal Money Train. Shouldn't much of this article at least be more comprehensive and maybe a little nicer?
Also, MAJOR spoiler with American Beauty; shouldn't there be a warning?
he also played alongside Mel Gibson in the "Patriot", he wasnt a main character but he had a large role, as big as Heath Ledger's66.138.74.101 (talk) 03:17, 19 November 2008 (UTC)j.crowson
Stephen's College?
[edit]Can I get a source on this: "Cooper is a notable graduate of Stephens College"? Stephens College is a women's college. --dm (talk) 00:11, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- The Internet Movie Database at the bottom of the page lists him as having studied ballet at Stephens. I guess that qualifies. Badbilltucker 16:53, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
im not for certain, but i heard he went to Stephen F Austin or "SFA" as we call it in texas, it would make sense if he grew up in the outskirts of Houston. Just what i heard though, maybe you could look into it66.138.74.101 (talk) 03:19, 19 November 2008 (UTC)j.crowson
- Ok, seems like IMDB has changed what should have been kinda obvious [[He majored in agriculture and acting at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri.]! Honinbou (talk) 13:02, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Jesse Cooper
[edit]Added some information on his son, Jesse Cooper, who died two years ago. I know there is a foundation in his name, but I do not know anything about it. Anyone who does, please add to the article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nut-meg (talk • contribs) 04:54, 15 February 2007 (UTC).
Movie Credits
[edit]What about mention of his role in "The Orchid Thief"? This is where I first really became aware of Chris Cooper! Fine film. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Greenoil (talk • contribs) 02:08, 18 April 2007 (UTC).
- The book "The Orchid Thief" was the basis for the movie Adaptation, which is well covered in the article. --AStanhope 14:10, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Unformatted Filmography
[edit]The Filmography box seems to be messed up. I was about to remove the note that stated that Interstate 60 was a TV series, but as the box is completely messed, it could be referring to anything else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Evbneto (talk • contribs) 09:39, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Odd Paragraph
[edit]Cooper has played his share of low-key heroic and non-heroic types. In 2005, for example, he starred in Silver City, playing an inept Republican gubernatorial candidate, a character noted for similarities to U.S. President George W. Bush. The paragraph seems to start describing how Cooper has had experience playing various types of roles, but just leaves us hanging after trailing off describing the attributes of one of his characters. I'm sure this could be rewritten to flow with the rest of the article and also give us more contrast and comparison between the types of roles he has played? --Popoi (talk) 00:04, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Bourne Identity
[edit]How could you forget that he was in The Bourne Identity?! That was the coolest movie ever! Way cooler than The Orchid Thief or some other weirdo movie... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.98.153.223 (talk) 07:08, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Chris Cooper (actor) → Chris Cooper – WP:PTOPIC GeicoHen (talk) 15:45, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
- Support per nom. The proposal seems sound. There are only three other people at the disambiguation page named "Chris Cooper", all of whom are far less notable. — AjaxSmack 00:28, 1 September 2013 (UTC) The disambiguation page should be moved to Chris Cooper (disambiguation) as well. — AjaxSmack 19:53, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- comment I don't think deleting the disambiguation page and merging it here as a hatnote is a good idea -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 03:47, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- That is not mentioned in the nomination. I assume it would be a move of the disambiguation page to Chris Cooper (disambiguation). — AjaxSmack 06:09, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- I assume a hatnote conversion if the nominator doesn't bother to indicate the disambiguation page should also be moved. If it isn't indicated then a merger is just as likely as a rename. -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 07:47, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- I doubt a merger would be assumed with that many entries on a dab page but I'll stipulate it above. — AjaxSmack 19:53, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
