A fact from Chimi Lhakhang appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 23 August 2010 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that it is customary at Chimi Lhakhang to strike female pilgrims on the head with a 10-inch (25 cm) wooden phallus and that the monastery features phallic paintings on its walls?
Come on...you can't tease us with the "Did you know?" section regarding the 10 inch phallus and not show us a picture of it on the main page. The Ejaculation article actually shows a guy shooting his load and the vagina article actually shows a real (perhaps under age) vagina spread open so I don't think that showing the picture of the phallus would be in poor taste. Frankly, I can't stop giggling at the fact that women go there to have a large penis slapped on their forehead. I don't think it helps as I've seen many videos on the web where guys do that with their real penis and the girls seem never to get pregnant...lol.
There are many porn sites on the Web where those who get sophomoric giggle-fits over seeing penises on their computers can indulge themselves. Quite aside from that the monks at this monastery might not be enthusiastic about flash photography of their religious rituals, they very likely take them seriously, and don't choose to display them in front of infantile mockers.
