Separate article for PPV

I think there is enough unique information on this subject that allows it to be a separate article. This is the same argument for articles such as the Ford Police Interceptor, Caprice 9C1, etc... Thoughts? roguegeek (talk·cont) 20:49, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't consider two paragraphs to be "enough" personally (look at some of the earlier generations). If you insist on doing so, a more appropriate solution would be to create a dedicated Chevrolet Caprice (sixth generation) article. Police car versions are already sold in the Middle East (since 2006), but these are not called PPVs. OSX (talk • contributions) 05:09, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well that's what happens when you don't reply. I believe that I was fair and reasonable, giving you more than two weeks to reply.

With regards to your statement about no consensus given, where is the consensus to actually split up the page to begin with? I also see no evidence of Wikipedia:Splitting being followed. Well on the WP:CARS talk page: User:Stepho-wrs said we should have individual generational pages (i.e. this page would exist as Chevrolet Caprice (sixth generation)) and User:Vossanova basically agreed with what I proposed. Policy would dictate that three paragraphs is not enough to warrant a sub-article, so when a decent amount of sixth generation information is added, feel free to create the sixth generation page. As a result, this page now redirects to Chevrolet Caprice. OSX (talk • contributions) 12:15, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
