Old talk
[edit]A ChessBase article already exists. Chess Assistant offers comparable products. These, as well as SCID and ChessDB (both have articles) are chess database programs that have become central to the practice of chess in the computer age.
As a devoted user of ChessBase products, I am ill-equipped to expand this article as effectively as is needed. But, Chess Assistant is every bit as notable as Shane's Chess Information Database, ChessDB, and Chessbase. Unless these articles also should be deleted, Chess Assistant should remain.
I've removed the deletion notice. When I placed it the article looked like spam - no notability and just a brief line of text and a link.

added a review
[edit]One external link added, to what I think is an independent review. There was another review I saw by someone running a chessassistance.com site, but that guy receives a stipend from the company so it's not independent and not helpful for notability here. Hope that helps, — coelacan — 07:19, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
