what exactly is hooch slang for? I always thought it was your caboose, but one of my friends thought it might be drugs. Does anybody know what it is and why it is the only sweetest thing in the world?

Map
[edit]I added a map and removed the "map needed" tag. Seeing it now at 300px wide I realize the linework ought to be a little thicker. I'll improve it when I get the chance. I also removed the map of Georgia river basins, as a good part of the Chattahoochee's basin is in Alabama. Pfly 21:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

i always thought i hate this for the chattahoochee river. it's not as long, i guess.
hooch is short for "chattahoochee." Its also slang for moonshine, but that slang has nothing to do with the name of the river.
Should there be a mention of the Alan Jackson song here? I'd say thats how most people outside of Georgia have heard about the river. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.158.181.105 (talk) 19:17, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Im interested in creating maps for the tributaries and areas of interest surrounding the river. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yaltaconference (talk • contribs) 13:43, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
History section
[edit]I have an interest in the section of the river between Proctor Creek and Nickajack Creek in Atlanta. I've already started editing (adding to the History section) and intend to add and refine my additions over the next few weeks. In particular I'm going to expand the history section to include Turner's Ferry, the Cherokee and Muscogee presence on the river, Mayson-Turner ferry, and sections on Nickajack Creek and Proctor Creek Larryfjohnson (talk) 14:05, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Section on Atlanta History
[edit]Am I alone in thinking that the second paragraph in the Atlanta section needs to be revised? It most certainly doesn't display a dispassionate encyclopedic voice. The information given is okay, but it isn't cited and therefore doesn't belong on wikipedia. The second paragraph either needs to be changed or completely removed, which I will do, if i don't receive any feedback. Eric0124 (talk) 17:48, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

List of crossings
[edit]Has anyone considered creating a List of fixed crossings of the Chattahoochee River? There's already one for the Hudson River. I doubt such an article could become a section of the existing article. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 23:48, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
