Came to prominence in early 50's?

[edit]

I'm not sure what the second sentence is trying to say. In the early 50's Bradley was still very much a child. 216.252.201.8 (talk) 14:32, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't say "the early 50's" but rather "his early 50's". Which is a shame, as he was a phenomenal singer.Jyg (talk) 04:52, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How much of this is spin?

[edit]

This article feels like it was written by PR hacks. "Screaming Eagle of Soul"? Is there decent independent verification? There doesn't seem to be a real violation, but for some reason the style seems off standard. edit: clarification.

Less spin, more verifiability now exists. The article could be better, but the worst of the promotion has been edited out. As ever, be bold, fellow editors but please follow the five pillars editing guidelines. Thanks,

Daptone singles

[edit]

Do we need a whole list of singles released by daptone? It reads too much like a list to me and there is no indication if these have charted. Karst (talk) 10:17, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Many musicians have a separate "Discography" article. But compared with many musicians this list is quite small. If none of them charted, it would be worth adding a note. Otherwise a "Chart position" column is justified. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:19, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I actually think there wouldn't be any harm in creating one. Two of his albums have charted in both the US and UK and while the singles did not, I suspect there will be further archive recordings featuring Braley that will continue to appear.Karst (talk) 08:31, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No objections. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:32, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
