Claim by Thom family

[edit]

After reading the article, I'm unclear regarding the ownership of the chateau. The article seems to suggest ownership was conveyed to the Thom family in 2016 by virtue of a document dated 1788. I have visited Montbrun on several occasions and am under the impression the current owner is not a member of the Thom family and has been in possession of Chateau Montbrun for some twenty years. I also could not independently verify any information source detailing the Thom family claim.

Can you please enlighten me regarding your source of information and correct my misunderstanding the text of the article. Thanks :) PLEhren (talk) 12:54, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Current version of page

[edit]

I'm not sure what to do about this one. Current version of the page is promotional (reference to weddings), English is not great and there are unsourced references to the behaviour of the previous owners. The editor has not responded on their Talk page. Can we discuss? Thanks, Tacyarg (talk) 11:59, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Have posted again to the editor's talk page to try to get them to discuss here. Tacyarg (talk) 22:06, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's a mess, that's for sure. I have restored the 10 January 2018 version which, though lacking sources, was more or less stable. I've also deleted the reference to a hotel elesewhere. Emeraude (talk) 11:50, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

On User talk:OstaraIK, User:OstaraIK states

"I as a co-owner of the domaine have absolute right to delete and edit the correct historical and Ownership info on Wikipedia"

I have issued a COI warning, on their talk page, but their English seems rather poor - Arjayay (talk) 12:52, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See their previous edits. They are frequently worse than poor and rarely supported by any reliable source. I have, in the past, reverted the whole lot rather than try to make any sense out of it. Emeraude (talk) 13:56, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also worth keeping any eye on the disambiguation page Montbrun. Emeraude (talk) 14:00, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It is false accuse and your stated info has no base. OstaraIK (talk) 13:44, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's true as your statement quoted above shows. Emeraude (talk) 07:00, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
