Rewriting is needed.

[edit]

This article needs some work getting up to Wikipedia standards. Nothing is cited, it all appears to be original research. The info on the end appears to be more or less an advertisement. Put quite simply, it needs to look more like an entry in an encyclopedia and less like the league's web site. TimBRoy (talk) 03:16, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The league has professional arm wrestlers?

[edit]

I'd love to see the cite for that one... TimBRoy (talk) 06:13, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed tag for New York City project

[edit]

This league is in Central New York State, not New York City. I know New Yorkers tend to think of "The City" as the center of the state (and universe) but they're actually downstate. This league is based in Utica, which isn't New York City. Gotham Girls Roller Derby are the only roller derby league in New York City, per the listings at International Derby RosterTimBRoy (talk) 07:38, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Little bit of clean up

[edit]

Rewrote the "article" to at least include wikilinks and proper sentence structure, and also added some citations, and have removed the More Footnotes tag as a result. Also linked for the venue in infobox. Article does require expansion, and following some of the external links it shouldn't be too hard to come up with a couple of additional sentences to satisfy notability; although membership in the WFTDA should suffice for that, lacking a protocol for roller derby league articles it's hard to know for sure what will suffice...
