Newtown Park - claimed capacity.

[edit]

Where does that 5,000 number come from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.185.98 (talk) 01:47, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure but do not in this article about the History of Newtown Park it held 5,000 spectators for a rugby match. NZFC(talk) 01:57, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Flaw in history section.

[edit]

This entry is flawed. The Central League started in 1968. https://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/id391.htm I know that this would require updating but firstly I am trying to understand how the decision/thinking on the 1992 start point was made. Anyone?

In 1992 the Central League expanded to include a Premier Division. For reasons unknown by making this line in the sand the original author excluded over 24 years of the leagues history. Why I say over 24 years is the Central Districts League started in 1962 but included regional rep teams until 1965 when a handful of regions entered club teams. In 1967 the Central Districts League started. 1968 the Central League formed off the back of these pioneering leagues. BG Onuku (talk) 21:50, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't know about the 1962 to 1967 history. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2407:7000:9B74:AF07:8C26:3939:8E5F:B5F7 (talk) 08:12, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
