Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it provides information about the organization that produces the leading journal in the field of environmental ethics - Environmetnal Ethics. That journal is one of the most widely indexed journals in the humanities, which is an indication of its academic significance. — Gleaman (talk) 16:19, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that this organization seems to be too established to make it quality for speedy deletion and have therefore removed the tag. However, with a cursory search I did not find sources establishing notability. I suggest to have a good look at WP:ORG, where notability requirements are worked out for organizations. What is needed are multiple, independent, reliable sources that specifically address the organization as their main topic (so, articles focussing on the Journal, or on the Founder(s) are not enough; also "importance" of an organization for the field is not important, we need... those sources). I suggest to see if those can be added (and if not: to propose deletion via articles for deletion in February) and will be happy to help! L.tak (talk) 17:56, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
