[edit]This article should begin with a more formal definition of cell plate. In my opinion, articles should start at a high level and describe exactly what the article title is. In this case it seems to be more of a definition of Cytokinesis. This article should start with something like:
A cell plate is a plate that develops at the midpoint between the two groups of chromosomes in a dividing cell and that is involved in forming the wall between the two new daughter cells.
or
A cell plate is a partition formed during cell division in plants and some algae that separates the two newly formed daughter.
or
A cell plate is a partition that is formed during telophase of cell division in plants and some algae and that separates the two newly formed daughter cells.
