Changed relationship status
[edit]Deely stated on 6/18/2009 that her "boyfriend" would be happy about a comment on her apparel. When visiting the link to the person she was listed as "married" to, that man's profile said they were dating. Made the two pages list the same relationship status. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.68.85.70 (talk) 02:49, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]I relocated the trivia to here. It can be argued that having trivia in an encyclopedia goes against the core purpose of the encyclopedia...to have a dense, information-rich summary of the essential facts about a given topic : ) NatMor 02:18, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- She is known for hosting most of her shows bare foot, saying that she feels more comfortable and at home presenting this way.
- She is also known for hosting most of her shows in 5" heels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.64.247.5 (talk) 21:16, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Deeley once commented that the television personality she found most annoying was Vanessa Feltz, because she was heard talking about her private life too often.
Removal of unreferenced tag
[edit]I plan to remove the unreferenced tag because I see six different citations, so there's no longer a need for such a tag.--Desmond Hobson 22:33, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Date of birth?
[edit]Date of birth on the edit page shows 1976 (correct) but on the display page shows 67 (incorrect). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.10.220.83 (talk) 13:26, 16 December 2006 (UTC).
Interview - confusing
[edit]As a result of her ambition to break into Hollywood, Deeley's long term relationship with PR Executive Mark Whelan broke down [4] Deeley then moved to Los Angeles in May 2006, as she stated on a late night TV interview with Craig Ferguson.
Which bit was stated in the interview ? Surely her moving to LA is a fact ! ThisIsAce 07:46, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Personal life
[edit]I removed an unsourced gosspiy bit. CheersOons 18:03, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Feet
[edit]The article as it stands seems to have a disproportionate focus on Cat Deeley being barefoot. I'm removing those sentences and if someone can find a source that says Cat is somehow famous or otherwise notable for being barefoot they can go back in. Man from the Ministry (talk) 13:48, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Name
[edit]I was once in a quiz that asked Cat's real name. The answer given was Katherine spelt with a K. But I can't seem to find any evidence of this. Had the quiz-setter simply fallen for a hoax, or can anybody come up with another theory? -- Smjg (talk) 23:54, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Catholic?
[edit]I've removed the 'English Roman Catholic' category from this article because there's no reference made in the article to her being a Catholic, and also because the evidence suggests it may be incorrect. If you research the schools she attended, they're either secular with no religious affiliation, or affiliated to the Church of England, which is Protestant, not Catholic. If she was indeed a Catholic, she'd most likely have gone to a Catholic school, not a CofE one. As a result, I feel this categorisation is unfounded and unproven, and so should not be included unless cast-iron proof can be provided. Sandi saraya (talk) 14:51, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Height correct?
[edit]Is she really 5'9"? She seems to tower over almost all the female contestants, and many of the male contestants as well.. AnonMoos (talk) 17:55, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well, she has high heels that are 3" or more....And the average male height is only 5' 10"...and a lot of people on that show are really short. --Boycool42 (talk) 22:12, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Viral video
[edit]There is no mention to that event when she shouted asking the audience to shut up. Since it became popular, it might be worth mentioning... And it is a funny fact! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.118.86.10 (talk) 14:15, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
I agree! I came here looking for some mention of that and any fallout related to it...was this cleansed by some PR firm? `Hardtospell (talk) 20:14, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Ah, looked into it and it was on a parody show, Peter Kay's Britain's got the Pop - so probably not worth mentioning. Hardtospell (talk) 20:17, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Superb non sequitur
[edit]Thanks, Wiki editors! I use this as an example of how not to draft: "Standing 5'10" without heels, Deeley is a supporter of West Bromwich Albion F.C." Theeurocrat (talk) 16:37, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
Odd sentence
[edit]"Standing 5'9" without heels, Deeley is a supporter of West Bromwich Albion F.C.,"
What relevance does her height have to which football team she supports? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.115.10.250 (talk) 18:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
