Translation of Maggiore
[edit]The translation of "Maggiore" as "Major" doesn't look right. My Italian dictionary has bigger, larger, biggest, largest, older, oldest, major, greatest. In Italian church names Santa Maria Maggiore indicates the largest church dedicated to St Mary in a place. A direct English equivalent is Great St Mary's church in Cambridge, so I suggest "Great Castle" in this article. "Castaniolo Maggiore" is more difficult. The Italian for chestnut is castagna (with a 'g'), but the spelling could be in a local dialect. Italian Wikipedia also has Castaniolo, and gives the derivation from chestnut a legend (without citing a source). I will adjust the paragraph accordingly. Verbcatcher (talk) 13:36, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
