[edit]This article is half right and half wrong. The Presidencial Mansion described trully is the mansion that is close to the National Zoo. But that mansion was abondoned after the January 13 and February 13 earthquakes that damaged it. The mansion was remodeled by CONCULTURA to become a new Museum of National History. It was restored to its original color and retrofited.
But the first two pictures in the article are pictures of the New Casa Presidencial which is across town, and do not show the same mansion as in picture three, (the last one below).
There were a few articles in www.laprensagrafica.com in the latter part of 2001 and in 2002 about the move of the Executive to the new mansion and the restoration of the one described in this article.
The new "Casa Presidencial" I believe was a vast mansion that served as the headquarters for the Foreign Relations Office. But it was fitted to become the New Casa Presidencial.
I have tagged both mansions in the city view map of San Salvador in www.wikimapia.com
The "Old" Casa Presidencial is just right of the "National Zoo". And the "New" Casa Presidencial is just southwest of "Feria Internacional", on WikiMapia search "san salvador".
Someone please remake this article.
