USNVGT Membership
[edit]Carrie was the first member of the new team. Her membership was shortlived, but it is still an important part of the history of the team. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Datagod (talk • contribs) 16:58, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
First members of the new team were Mcvey Patterson and Peters. They do not recognize her as a member because she quit before contributing to the team in any way per my direct E-Mail conversation with the source. She does not appear on the website of that team and the mention here is not noteworthy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.86.114.4 (talk) 20:32, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
The press release clearly states she was the first member. Please cite your sources. datagod (talk) 🍁 01:26, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
Tim Mcvey is quoted in the press release, welcoming her to the team. You allege you have an email. Even if it exists it is irrelevant. If you want to record how many days she lasted before quitting, that would be welcome. We are all trying to improve video game articles, despite your immature accusation. datagod (talk) 🍁 01:29, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
If anonymous IP user can provide proof of her quitting from a notable source that would be sufficient. datagod (talk) 🍁 18:51, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
Asking for Help
[edit]To avoid edit warring on this article I have asked for neutral parties to come here and help out. The current debate is whether or not Carrie Swidecki was a member of the rebooted team U.S. National Video Game Team
- Here are the sources that I found so far:
On September 27, 2015 it was announced that Carrie joined the U.S. National Video Game Team[1][2] [3] [4] [5]
I agree with the organization's stance on this and feel Datagod's personal dislike of the co-owner is his only motivation for this alleged informational edit. If she did indeed quit before taking part in any team activities then she is no more a former member than any of us are. Swidecki publicly posted about her exit from the team and both owners are on Facebok right now with statements.47.190.47.120 (talk) 18:29, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- Your feelings about who I may like or dislike are irrelevent. Nothing more needs to be said about those. I will say however that a person cannot publicly exit an organization that they wee not member of to begin with. I think we can come to an agreement that if the President of the United States dies after the inauguration but before making their first public appearance, they would still be considered president. If a neutral editor wishes to add the information regarding her membership and uses the sources I have provide, then that is good. If not, well that is how Wikipedia works. We all have to work towards a greater good. datagod (talk) 🍁 19:00, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
