- The result was merge into Carlton Colville. -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 17:10, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
The article on Carlton Colville Primary School seems non-notable and would probably not survive an AfD. Typically such articles are merged to the location. I suggest this be done in this case and a redirect created. Opinions? Blue Square Thing (talk) 10:52, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well, inactivity certainly suggests merging then... Blue Square Thing (talk) 17:10, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Plane
[edit]There was plane crash in Carlton Colville during the second world war (I believe). The type of plane was a Flying Fortress. There is now a road on the site where the plane crashed called Fortress Way, I think there are other roads in the area of which there names are linked to the pilots who died during the crash. If the information can be cited it should be added to the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.15.18.238 (talk) 00:01, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Town Status
[edit]It has been reported that Carlton Colville is now a town and therefore the article should be changed accordingly — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.183.252.32 (talk) 13:49, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- Interesting - thanks. I'm not sure whether or not it's technically a "town" rather than the council having the technical name of a town council - certainly I'd argue very strongly that geographically it remains a suburb more than anything. I think the way I've worked the wording will more or less suffice for now though - but would very much welcome opinions. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:23, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Could you at least consider mentioning something about its town status, maybe even just a little sentence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.183.251.157 (talk) 20:17, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Second sentence of the first paragraph is where it's at. Any refs from the Journal or EDP would be helpful if anything more's to be made of it I think. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:43, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
