MLK assassination
[edit]please add a chapter about Marcello's connections to the MLK assassination. For those who can speak German, good info is found in a documentary about the assassination of MLK 85.197.16.12 (talk) 15:21, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Department of Corrections
[edit]Carlos Marcello did not die in prison. He was released a few years before his death. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.84.236.17 (talk • contribs)
Name
[edit]His name at birth, according to Sifakis's Mafia Encyclopedia (p301) was Calorso Minicari. Trekphiler 15:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Calogero Minacori. The story goes that when the family first made it to New Orleans the man Marcello's father was working for on a plantation had the same last name and wanted his dad to change it so there wouldn't be any confusion (or maybe from some ego type thing)and so it was changed to Marcello. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.248.14.246 (talk) 19:14, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]that picture is clearly Joe Bonanno. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.86.116.65 (talk • contribs)

Death
[edit]This statement is not accurate - He returned to his white marble, two-story mansion overlooking a golf course in Metairie. "overlooking the golf course in Metairie" I grew up 5 blocks from Carlos Marcello's home in Metairie, and lived there from 1966 until 1989. Carlos Marcello's home did not overlook a golf course. Carlos Marcello's house was in an upscale area of Metairie, a half block from Lake Pontchartrain. Which that area did not have a golf course.

- Fixed – ChikagoDeCuba, thank you! - Location (talk) 12:58, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Neither of these are quite accurate. The house Marcello died in does not overlook but is across the street from Metairie Golf Course on Vine St. Maybe you can see some of the green from the second story but.....The house mentioned near the lake was also his that he had lived in for a few years prior to prison on Clifford Dr, also in Metairie. His brother Joe also had a house on Clifford. Marcello owned a lot of property and had a few houses. There's also one on Barataria Ave I found. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.248.14.246 (talk) 19:10, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Sources?
[edit]This article is horribly sourced i.e. not at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.158.48.162 (talk) 07:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Too controversial
[edit]This contains a lot of conspiracy theory content. It is questionable whether all of this content is appropriate but certainly without citations this needs to be removed.
Is somebody actively maintaining the article?

I agree, the entire section is completely uncited. Request removal or at the very least proper citations. BipolarBear0 (talk) 01:01, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

JFK / Mafia / Marcello / Sam Giancana / CIA Connection
[edit]The story I read here was slightly misleading, considering it claims the Mafia killed JFK as retribution for JFK's battle against the Mob. Although accurate, this isn't entirely true, it's barely scratching the surface of the water. The accurate "conspiracy" is that the Mafia was just another arm of the "Elite" that were still in control after world war 2. Rothschilds funding JP Morgan and thus owning over 70% of JP Morgan when the man, JP Morgan, died, Ford building tanks for the Nazis and sued the US government in 1952, Carnigeys and Standard Oil Co. providing Hitler with material to rebuild Germany after WW1, over 150+ Allied Nation Companies that still exist in one capacity or another (succession) that directly or indirectly benefited from forced labor in concentration camps.
Thus with that, you had a military industrial complex on the rise that made War for Profit a reality.
After coming to power, JFK renounced his fathers past, having grown up in a loving home. When he came to power, he was going against a deep state defined by operations like "Operation Northwood", "Operation Paper Clip", "Operation Ajax", "Operation Gladio", "Operation Mockingbird", "Operation PBSuccess", and what he considered "secret societies". JFK already having enemies after his father gambled both his sons lives away to get a murder hit taken off him by Sam Giancana for future favors from his sons, now only added the CIA and Military Industrial complex to the list.
To speak a little of JFK's ties to the Mob, it started obviously with his father growing up in Chicago. During his time as a bootlegger, he stolen the wrong shipment of booze from the wrong people and a hit was put on him by the Jewish Mafia in NY, specifically the "Purple Gang". Sam Giancana being the boss in Chicago was able to get rid of the hit in exchange for his two sons, who he knew that he was raising them to run for office in the future, look after him and his mob associates.
JFK frequently spoke about breaking up the CIA, and the Bay of Pigs Invasion was the last straw for "them", Allen Dulles wanted a hot war with the Soviets. After the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion, JFK fired Allen Dulles and JFK tried his best to keep America out of Vietnam after he realized in 1963 that the Vietnamese didn't want us there and this was just another CIA war to install a dictatorship as seen in the past operations spoken about above.
TO ADD:
Famous Zapruder Film is edited. If you watch the part after JFK is shot and you can see a secret service agent climbing on the back of the car, there are a dozen or so frames missing. You see the agent pop into the picture randomly and start climbing onto the car. You can also see in the far right background a pedestrian who at first is holding nothing, but suddenly what looks to be a camera pops into his hands. The reason for the edit is because the special agent driving the presidential limo was reported to have slowed down almost to a complete stop.
There were also 9 shooters, with the fatal shooter shooting from the sewer grate as the presidential limo slowed down. I don't think I'll ever edit or talk on wikipedia again, I have NO idea what I'm doing as far as coding goes haha
