Notability
[edit]Is a WGM and an International Master not sufficiently notable? Is it not notable that a player has set a record for the youngest American woman to attain the IM title? I believe that a woman who's in the Top Ten worldwide for her age group is notable. It might be best to have chess players weigh in on the notability of a chess player of international standing.HughieGRex (talk) 18:46, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- HughieGRex, I think Yip is clearly notable. I left a message on the tagging editor's talk page pointing out notability for chess players. Schazjmd (talk) 19:18, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- HughieGRex, Jikaoli Kol fixed it. Schazjmd (talk) 20:09, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Citation style
[edit]HughieGRex, would you mind if I converted the references to use the {{cite}} template? I think the resulting citations are more reader-friendly. Schazjmd (talk) 20:12, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- Please! The sooner, the better! I just wanted to get the page started, figuring we could clean up the refs at our leisure.HughieGRex (talk) 17:06, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
