Out of bounds?

[edit]

From the article's second sentence:

"...which was significantly damaged in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake and is out of bounds."

I think this needs clarification. I don't know what this phrase refers to in this context, even after doing a search on Wikipedia.

I presume it's referring to the fact that the site of the original cathedral was within the Central City Red Zone, and so access was hihgly restricted. However, according to the article on the red zone, all restrictions have now been lifted (though presumably as an active demolition site, some restrictions around the cathedarl still remain). Yes, that was a bit confusing. I've taken it out. Indeed, the site was originally in the Central City Red Zone. Schwede66 05:48, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not a transitional pro-cathedral

[edit]

The cardboard cathedral is not a "transitional pro-cathedral". It is an interim or temporary building, not transitional. It is a cathedral not a pro-cathedral. A pro cathedral is a parish church used as a cathedral. This building was built as a cathedral.Royalcourtier (talk) 22:38, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
