75% THC ?
[edit]imho this is ridiculous. the blunt would be liquid, if true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.72.114.223 (talk) 21:34, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
That would be because the 75% THC content was in hashish, not in bud. It is a kind of paste like substance, not like bud. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.213.151.2 (talk) 17:34, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Bad Pun in Visitors section
[edit]"Since then, the event has rebounded to new heights." Come on guys, let's show a bit more decorum in discussing the Cannabis Cup —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.116.34 (talk) 17:39, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
links to webshops in main text
[edit]There are links to webshops in the main text. There sould be no outside links in the text at all! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.93.37.38 (talk) 18:40, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
re: flagged
[edit]im gonna guess it means the person is so damn stoned they can barely even move so he'll just go and chill in the beautiful room. lol
"flagged"
[edit]- Often a beautiful room is provided for those who are considered "flagged" and have no capacity to consume any additional marijuana.
What does it mean to be "flagged"? Who "flags" people? Just a bit more information might be useful here.
I am pretty sure "flagged" carries the same meaning as "wasted" does with regards to alcohol. An adjective not a verb.
Shantaggy
[edit]Shantaggy is a past winner it says. From which year?
this article is very well written and contains a good deal of information
[edit]the author needs a blunt after all that work
Wrong Winner listed for #1 on 19th cannabis cup
[edit]Follow the link to the cannabis cup page, http://www.cannabiscup.com/ht/cancup/content.php?bid=223&aid=9 The current winner is listed as "BIG BOOTY WEED Ultra Haze#1/Green House" currently and should be "Arjan's Ultra Haze#1/Green House " —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.56.13.80 (talk) 06:32, 12 March 2007 (UTC).
"Loss"
[edit]2003 marked the festival's first loss, so 2004's event was held on a smaller basis.
- What does this mean? Did someone die or something?
- I'd assume monetary loss. --Signed and Sealed, JJJJust (T C) 15:13, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it was a attendence loss and that would be a reason they would have to downsize.
- I'd assume monetary loss. --Signed and Sealed, JJJJust (T C) 15:13, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
1990 Winners
[edit]The third Cannabis Cup was covered in the May 1991 issue of High Times. The article clearly shows that Northern Lights #5 was the top vote getter receiving 90 points. Northern Lights was entered as an indica strain.
The other winners were Hawaiian x Haze (82 points, sativa), Super Skunk (89.5 points, mostly indica), Haze x Northern Lights #5, (87 points, mostly sativa).
Someone keeps posting Super Skunk as the Cannabis Cup winner (there is only one per year). This is incorrect, although this info does appear on some websites. The 1990 Cannabis Cup winner was Northern Lights #5. All the above strains were entered by Nevil's Seed Bank. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Temple Dragon (talk • contribs) 16:23, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Not founded in 1947
[edit]There's an error in the second sentence. I'm pretty sure the Cannabis Cup wasn't founded in 1947 by Steven Hager; he wasn't even born until 1951. ----
No longer true
[edit]I think the Cannabis Cup, not the Medical Cannabis Cup, is being held in Denver in April. Articles need updating if this is true. Be——Critical 19:57, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
