[edit]I just added the image of a Candyland board... if there is any issue with it, let me know? I am new to the world of Wikipedia. FaerieInGrey 16:36, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- Looks fine, although UGH they've really made the characters grotesque-looking. Gimme the old 2-D garish look! - DavidWBrooks 16:35, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I'd really like to see images of all the major board revisions.
Random
[edit]Do we need to conform to the Low/High rating or can we change the Random Chance to "entire" or "complete", since Candy Land is all luck (minus cheating, of course)
I think it should be "complete" as well. Any objections?Dkkicks 05:39, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Anyone know why some of the changes to the characters in the most recent revision were made? I imagine Plumpy was replaced so as not to offend obese people, but some of the other changes just seem random. Lolly and Frostine both got demoted!170.76.21.31 14:33, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I need a logo
[edit]If you could put a logo on it that would be great —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.33.161.130 (talk) 17:00, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]The article used an inconsistent capitalization, varying between Candy Land, CandyLand, and Candyland. The official website uses the last so I fixed all the capitalizations to reflect it, but the page itself should be moved too. The target Candyland is not a simple redirect, however, it has a past edit history, so admin action has been requested. MoraSique (talk) 16:59, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, the official Hasbro website consistently uses "Candy Land" everywhere except for a SINGLE "Play Candyland Activities" link. Therefore I have moved the page back to Candy Land. Jeff (talk) 03:52, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
"Candyland is a simple racing game" (1st sentence in the Lead Section)
[edit]That's a little misleading. You don't 'race' like cars race; the game itself is a race, but not "racing" per se. (At least that's how I see it.) But it doesn't make sense if I reworded it to say "Candyland is a simple 'race game'". That in my opinion sounds even worse than the original phrasing. Can somebody please help out on rewording the Lead Section, or is it okay as is? Thanks! 67.182.237.57 (talk) 22:20, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
wouldn't it make more sense to label it a kart racer simular in style to mario kart. simple is a releative term, is it simple because it is easey (to who?) or simple because its barely coded. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.91.9.153 (talk) 22:02, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Backwards play
[edit]I think a section on backwards play svvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvhould be added because its a fairly common practice since it make more sense to run form the pedophile King Candy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirk1191811 (talk • contribs) 19:17, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
pop culture wreck it ralph
[edit]would it be a safe call to add sugar rush from wreck it ralph as a pop culture refrence? game seems to be a mix between candyland and typical kart racing games. even includes several key character names in the movies fictional game.152.91.9.153 (talk) 22:06, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
pop culture candy crush
[edit]what about Candy Crush, the design is clearly 60-ish and the world looks so much like Candyland... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.97.253.10 (talk) 09:46, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Lead section hacked?
[edit]Bing quotes the lead section as: "making it suitable for young children" but currently the lead section says: "making it suitable for no decent humans". I presume the comment currently in the lead (no decent humans) is not consistent with Wikipedia's approach. The lead section should be changed back to the older verbiage. It appears to be beyond my access permissions to change the lead section or I would do it. Nevermind. Someone fixed it.
New "Legacy" section for upcoming TV show
[edit]I propose adding a new subsection to the "Legacy" portion to reflect an upcoming TV show deriving from the game, which apparently is supposed to premiere in November 2020.
