Salience of events at Fukushima
[edit]I'd like to see a qualified person add something to this article considering the implications of the events in Japan. Jhall251 (talk) 01:19, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to backup its material so if you can find published discussion about the implications, you can add it. I'm not sure what implications you mean (danger from tsunami?) so maybe you could explain further. Jason Quinn (talk) 00:14, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
In the news
[edit]CNN is reporting an "unusual event" at this nuclear plant, apparently due to damage from Hurricane Irene, including an automated shutdown of unit 1 and some damage to one building. Details will presumably be entering reliable news sources over the next 24 hours. - Dravecky (talk) 07:18, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
Here's the NRC event report regarding that Unusual Event. There were a few other problems associated with the event, such as containment air coolers failing due to the voltage transient, and a backup diesel generator with flood problems.
