Caladenia alpina
[edit]This species is recognised as Caladenia alpina by both the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney[1] and the Royal Botanic Garden Victoria.[2]Gderrin (talk)
Confusingly, in New Zealand the species is known as C. lyallii, although the New Zealand Plant Conservation Network notes that some authorities recognise both as separate species.[3] David L. Jones recognises C. alpina as a Tasmanian species and C. lyallii as a New Zealand endemic.[4]Gderrin (talk) 00:02, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- But ideally, as per WP:RS, a reliable secondary source is needed to treat these as two species. Is there one? Peter coxhead (talk) 17:36, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
- Not that I know of. I'll leave it up to a Kiwi to write a C. lyallii page if there is a ref. (I don't think Jones describes NZ orchids.) Gderrin (talk) 21:52, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
