Article written like advertisement

[edit]

I don't know who marked this article as "reading like an advertisement", but I disagree. I found it very informative and helpful. Since that message is 2 years old, I'm going to remove it in a couple weeks unless someone gives a counter-argument. Bigpeteb (talk) 17:25, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kai Fu Lee didn't develop it. He did write a thesis on the first version. This was not very advanced and did not work well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:4BF9:F210:9D6D:E682:8B11:E033 (talk) 06:47, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Installation

[edit]

I am having troubles getting CMU Sphinx (4) installed under Windows right now. Their "how to install" page is above my computer skills as well. Maybe one should add that it's far from trivial to install it (at least under Windows). I fear applying the software won't be trivial either.--Nix schlecht (talk) 07:20, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just in case someone ends up here with the same struggle as I: I did find a youtube-tutorial for the installation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjMX75RVjOs). Only difference is that one has to allow Microsoft Visual Studio to upgrade the solution-file (.sln) to the right Windows-SDK-version and the current Visual C++ platformtoolset.--Nix schlecht (talk) 09:37, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
