Height
[edit]So, which is it?
The 490 ft. stated in the text ?
Or, the 491 ft. stated in the Infobox ?
I know 1 foot, in the grand scheme of things, isn't much, but detail is detail and so is accuracy. 2600:8800:22C:F700:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 14:00, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- The building is 491 feet tall. This is now consistent throughout the article. Epicgenius (talk) 19:45, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
Construction started before the design was finalized?
[edit]The first sentence of the second paragraph states "Construction started in 1961 and...the design was finalized in 1962." This is confusing. Construction began before the design was finalized? Can anyone explain? Even if this is accurate because, for example, the "design" referred to is something like the interior spaces of the upper floors, or the shape of the roofline or another element that could be finalized later, it needs to be clarified. The design for the building as a whole would have to have been finalized before construction could begin. Bricology (talk) 21:07, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- This has now been fixed. The sentence was supposed to be arranged the other way around - the design was finalized in 1961, and construction started in 1962. – Epicgenius (talk) 19:39, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
Román 2003 broken reference
[edit]@ActivelyDisinterested, I'm seeing the following error for the Román 2003 footnotes: "Harv error: link from CITEREFRom%C3%A1n2003 doesn't point to any citation". I tried to repair it on mobile, but you undid the edit saying that it breaks more references than it fixes.
Since I'm on my phone, I can't readily change the "Román 2003" reference to "Roman 2003" without diacritics. However, I think that, along with adding |ref={{harvid|Roman|2003}} to the reference in the Sources section, may solve the issue of the footnotes not working. Epicgenius (talk) 14:40, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- If you add a |ref= field to the cite in the sources section you will break all the references using Román instead of Roman. I can't see that error message, where is it in the article? I have the error messages for harv/sfn templates on, but I still don't see the error message.-- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 14:50, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I should clarify that I'm using User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js. It's in the "Citations" section but only shows up when using the script. This may or may not be an error - I will have to look into this further later. Epicgenius (talk) 14:53, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm working on clearing Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors, which tracks these kinds of errors. I don't see any error, nor does the article appear on the tracking category. There's 17 refs for "Romàn 2003", is there a particular one where you see the error message? -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 14:57, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- I saw this message on all of the Román 2003 sources in the "Citations" section, but only when using the script. Apparently, the link still works despite the script showing the error message, so there is in fact no issue. Sorry to bother you. =) Epicgenius (talk) 15:01, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- Never a problem. Do you have User:Trappist the monk/HarvErrors.js and User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js installed? -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 15:13, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- I have one of these two installed (Ucucha's script). Should I be installing Trappist the monk's script instead or in addition to Ucucha's script? Epicgenius (talk) 15:22, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- As an experiment could you uninstall Ucucha's script and install Trappist's instead, the see if you still see the error message? I think this is an issue with Ucucha's script, but scripting is beyond me. If you don't see the error message with Trappist's script installed I'll drop a message to Ucucha about the issue. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 15:27, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hmm, that is weird. It seems I am using Trappist's script already and that Trappist's script may be displaying the false positive. Epicgenius (talk) 15:59, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- It could be that the two scripts don't work well together. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 16:03, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- @ActivelyDisinterested, strangely, it seems I only have Trappist's script. I was mistaken earlier when I said I had Ucucha's script. Epicgenius (talk) 17:54, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

- Trappist the monk I think we need your help here. Epicgenius has your script installed (User:Trappist the monk/HarvErrors.js), while I just have the basic manual setup (User:ActivelyDisinterested/common.css). They are seeing an error message "Harv error: link from CITEREFRom%C3%A1n2003 doesn't point to any citation", but I'm not and the article isn't in Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. Is your script displaying an incorrect error? I've been through all the "Román 2003" references in case there something odd going on, but I can't see anything. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 18:39, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
Send more pics
[edit]Send more pictures, comrades! Needs photos of the entrance and the rooftop.
Currently, the pictures have that "worm's eye" viewpoint. 2A00:1FA0:4310:2B01:177E:E1A9:BCE4:6841 (talk) 06:45, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah... unfortunately I don't work across the street from the building, hence why all the pics are from street level. But I know a few people who do, so maybe I'll ask them to take pics. Or, someone could go to Top of the Rock and take some pics from there. – Epicgenius (talk) 13:54, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
