[edit]This plane is somewhat well-know, albeit unconsciously, as the mothership of aerial pirates in Miyazaki's Porco Rosso animated movie. The type's nickname is where the "Momma aiuto!" air-pirate gang got its name from. 82.131.210.163 (talk) 11:24, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- The pirate's main aircraft was instead a Dornier Wal (albeit with twin rudders) rather than a Cant 501. Note the presence of sponsons, twin push-pull engines and square wing planform which do not match the Cant.NiD.29 (talk) 06:12, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
