BOGO compared to 50% off
[edit]I don't have the capacity to write something up, but I do want to suggest a section in this article discussing a point of debate/contention about BOGO. In some grocery stores, for example, BOGO translates to "50% off each item", which means someone can purchase a single item at a reduced rate. Some argue this isn't BOGO, but it's marketed that way.
I personally had questions about these rules, namely if there were laws about it since I saw it work differently at 2 grocery stores, and Wikipedia seems like a great place to have answers or at least discussion that there are differences.
