section deletion

[edit]

In the interests of NPOV, I am deleting the section entitled "membership" as it is an obvious advertisement.

"Interested in starting a chapter or finding more information? Visit: BPA Membership"

National Leadership Conference

[edit]

If you guys can find any dates to complete the NLC Table, I recommend you to add them! -- Jdude567 —Preceding undated comment added 18:10, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CORONAVIRUS: I have made a small section under the NLC Heading about the cancellation of the NLC. I'm fine if anyone feels to need to delete it, but move the reference to the timeline where I have also added the cancellation-- Jdude567 —Preceding undated comment added 02:49, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

Is it just me, or is this article highly un-NPOV? --Zarel 03:27, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree Rapidflash 05:06, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I tried fixing the article to be more neutral by stating that the quote comes from the organization itself. Additionally, I have included a link, so if anyone wants to visit the site and get some information. Aoeu 00:27, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I could probably write up a nice summary of the club, including the events that competitors participate in. I'll do it when I have the time. Rapidflash 01:52, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just removed the following - it is un-NPOV, plus it refers to itself in first person (Wikipedia is not BPA) - if anyone can NPOV-ize it, do so

Business: The field for which BPA prepares students; emphasizes that they educate their members to work efficiently, not only in an office setting, but also in a wide variety of business situations.
Professionals: Students indicate they join BPA to take advantage of a wide variety of professional development opportunities.
of America: Symbolizes pride for the country and its free enterprise business system.

There are other non-NPOV parts, too, but I don't know what to do about it. The whole thing just reads like an advertisement. I've joined BPA once, and didn't really like it. --Zarel 18:31, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what to do about it either. The competitive event section is wrong (and the information changes annually.) Something about the events should be said, but I'm not sure what. Lordmanwe (talk) 23:21, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orginal Name

[edit]

I believe that the article should include the orginal name, Office Education Association, and that it was changed to Business Professionals of America on July 1, 1988.. 208.122.81.126 (talk) 12:49, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Almost no independent sources, is this notable?

[edit]

I've added a template for lack of independent sources here. What independent coverage is there to establish notability? Newystats (talk) 22:59, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of Events

[edit]

I think it would be awesome if this listed the events that bpa provides! 😎 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bar codebreaker (talkcontribs) 22:44, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
