Death?

In the last day or so, multiple accounts and IPs have been attempting to change the article to indicate he has died. Given that he's 102 years old, it would not be at all surprising that he has died. Given his fame, it's extremely likely that on his death there are/will be MANY news articles confirming his death. So far, nobody has provided a single source supporting his having died. That is why assertions he has died in this article have been reverted. Please include citations to confirm his death. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:10, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Am I missing something? On the Google News tab I’m seeing 2 articles that report his death. Both are covered by WP:RS. One was already cited by another user in an edit you reverted. WWII vets don’t typically get obits from bigger publications such as the New York Times, Washington Post etc until days later. I would say you’re being overly cautious. --Jkaharper (talk) 16:24, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe *I* missed something, but I didn't see any citation provided that indicated his death. I did look for sources, and found just one; on an obscure website which I did not consider reliable. Given his fame, a single obscure website announcing his death didn't seem particularly valid to me when no major news sources were carrying anything about it. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:13, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please add Bud Anderson’s death date and these sources? According to the sources, he passed away on May 17, 2024; at 5.29 p.m. Please also change the last sentence as Anderson is no longer the ”last living triple flying ace”.[1], [2] 217.213.151.165 (talk) 16:34, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, appreciate it 104.220.157.194 (talk) 19:12, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
He died in Auburn, CA if you want to add that detail as well. I noticed his birth has a location. 104.220.157.194 (talk) 19:13, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
While I don't doubt that, the source for his death does not say that. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:22, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
