Bronte Creek aquatic facility
[edit]This should also mention the Bronte Creek aquatic facility and the major drowning which took place there. The inquest was reported, and the Lifesaving Society had a report published in Standards Journal. — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:34, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Several problems with this article
[edit]So there are several problems with this article:
- ) No one has ever responded to the previous talk post about whether a famous (? I know nothing about this) drowning on the Creek and its subsequent inquest should be included
- ) Morriston is not in Hamilton, it's in Wellington County, which isn't mentioned. While it's possible that the creek also flows through Hamilton (about 10-20 kilometres south of Morriston) that is not the only way for the water to flow to Halton, so at the very least Wellington County should be added (and Hamilton's inclusion should be reviewed; the webpage, which is now cached, is dubious).
- ) No mention is made of why the creek has 2 names, or why it's called either of those two names.
- ) There is no ecology section, at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.24.96.65 (talk) 22:50, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- I don't really know what "Bronte Creek aquatic facility" means. Is it the pool at Bronte Creek Provincial Park? Is it some other facility? I can find nothing that is known as "Bronte Creek aquatic facility" in my searches. I suspect nobody else does either.
- It does run through Hamilton, but it is the expanded Hamilton after amalgamation of neighbouring towns. Blogs aren't reliable sources, but see this. It is a post about celebrating the restoration of Bronte Creek at Hamilton's Courtcliffe Park. If check Google Maps, you will see that Bronte Creek does run through it, and it is in the amalgamated version of Hamilton.
- I haven't found any information on how these were named. If you have info about the naming, feel free to add it.
- Again, if you know something of the ecology, feel free to add it. Wikipedia is built by us all. -- Whpq (talk) 00:31, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
