used for religious meetings, starting in 1870s

[edit]

There isn't a single mention in this article of the religious meetings that were held at Broadlands starting in the 1870's when Lord and Lady Mount Temple were the owners. These meetings were quite notable, and would make a good addition to this article. Jarbus1 (talk) 02:46, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mountbatten collections

[edit]

In 1991 I visited Broadlands and recall seeing many relics in the publicly viewable rooms and a museum about the 1st Earl's life that was in a detached block. Since then I have read there were financial problems among his descendants that (if my memory has not confused Broadlands with another place) led to many articles being sold. (I know Brocket Hall, which was also a home of Palmerston, had a big sale because of similar difficulties.) Is it still open to the public? There were also relics in the main mansion relating to the Prime Minister Lord Palmerston.Cloptonson (talk) 19:02, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
