Suggested updates
[edit]@ClemRutter and Malcolm.boura: As a BN member I'd prefer not to edit this article substantially, though I did fix some spellings yesterday. One easy update is that the organisation has a new chair, James Russell, see here. More tricky is this edit from 2016, which updated the text but left the old reference in place, leaving the article inconsistent. The 3.7 million figure was announced by BN here. I doubt if there's any non-BN source for this figure. -- John of Reading (talk) 06:06, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
I've been asked via the British Naturism forums to make some updates here. As a member of BN I have an obvious conflict of interest, so I'd rather not make these updates myself. Please would someone make the following changes to the infobox:
- The current president is Mark Bass. This can be sourced to the BN Staff Directory if needed.
- The leader_title2 should be "Chair" and the current chair is Jim Russell. Again, this can be sourced to the BN Staff Directory.
- Please change the infobox logo to
British Naturism logo 2019.jpg
.
Thank you -- John of Reading (talk) 15:02, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

[edit]- The requested file cannot be added to the article because the WP:NFCCP No's #1 and #2 have not been filled out. The author or copyright owner has also been omitted from the file's metadata page.
- A detailed non-free use rationale is required for every article the logo is used in. As all 8 non-free content criterion have not been included, these missing items should be added to the file's metadata page before the file can be added to the article.
- The infobox changes could not be made because the supplied reference was a URL. All references need to be styled using the system already in use with the article. Plain URLs are not used with this article.

- @Spintendo: Thank you for your attention. I have edited File:British Naturism logo 2019.jpg to use {{Non-free use rationale logo}} rather than the one built into the upload wizard, so that all the fields are specified. I have added the "Owner" field as requested, but have no knowledge of the image's author. A possible citation for the BN Staff Directory would be
<ref name=staff>{{Cite web|url=https://www.bn.org.uk/staff/|title=Staff Directory|publisher=British Naturism|access-date=12 December 2019}}</ref>
- and the re-used citation would, of course, be
<ref name=staff/>

[edit]- The image was added.
- The names in the infobox were changed.
- Two citation needed inline templates were applied.
- A refimprove maintenance template was applied.
- The single References and notes section was split into separate References and Notes sections.
- Two claims which were unreferenced were omitted.
- The Milestones section was given a level 2 header, and its constituent claims placed using bullet points.
- Minor grammatical changes were made to text in the Definition section.
- One of the blockquotes was placed as regular text with quotation marks, as it was only one sentence in length.
- Another quote (which was 2 sentences in length) was re-set using the <blockquote> markup.

Please change the infobox location
to Beckett House, 14 Billing Road, [[Northampton]]<ref name=staff/>
and change the access-date
of the "staff" reference to 14 May 2021
. As a member of the organisation I'd prefer not to make the change myself. -- John of Reading (talk) 14:13, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- Partly done The website of the organization verifies the change in the address. I'm not sure why to change the access-date of the staff page though I can't access the staff page so I have not changed the access-date of the "staff" reference. @John of Reading: What is the reason for the change regarding that particular date? — Mikehawk10 (talk) 05:51, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Mikehawk10: I hadn't realised that the "staff" page is no longer available to non-members; that makes it much less useful as a reference, so you might like to add
url-access = subscription
to the reference named "staff". I asked for the access-date to be changed because if you'd seen the page on the old date, 12 December 2019, it would have shown the old address. But yes, the home page shows the current address, and you've decided to allow the change without adding an explicit inline source for it. That's fine by me; it's not a controversial change. -- John of Reading (talk) 06:42, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
