Colon ":" in title (namespace)?

[edit]

Should this (or any) article have a colon ":" in its title, because those are typically used for Namespace stuff. It also screws up the piping; instead of just removing the bracketed "film" part, it removed everything before the colon as well. I can't find anything about it in the Wiki documentation. Need new location for remaining trivia

If this can be verified, I think it might fit under an Errors section?

Differences between U.S. and U.K. version?

[edit]

The article states, that there are differences between the U.S. and U.K. versions and evan an alternate ending. But what are the differences? I couldn't find anything on the net, that there really is an alternative version. The IMDB also doesn't describe it. --88.68.127.113 (talk) 00:02, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to know as well. After I watched the British/German cut yesterday, I trimmed the excessive plot and didn't notice any differences. (Your IP resolves to Germany, so my reply to you may not help you at all.) – sgeureka tc 00:13, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I came here just for this very reason myself. Why include an uncited statement about differences and an alternate ending if the article isn't going to elaborate? If this statement cannot be cited, I think it should be removed. Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 01:43, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gross

[edit]

Refers to 'Domestic' figure . Surely 'Domestic' in the context of a British/European film should be the gross in the country of production and not the US which is very confusing as obviously not all people reading Wiki are American. Internationally should be US and World. Domestic should refer to British gross. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.131.128 (talk) 23:21, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Country

[edit]

The article Infobox previous listed the country/countries as UK, France, Germany, Ireland, USA.[2] This was not sourced so I can understand why it might have been deleted but it does match up with the countries listed by by the BFI (except Germany).

All but the UK were removed with the edit summary "All three producers and production companies are purely British".

  • Little Bird Limited seems to have been an Irish film company, that has since gone out of business.
  • StudioCanal is a French company
  • Working Title is British

Other than the BFI as a reliable source saying so, it is not entirely clear if USA should be listed or not. -- 109.78.207.148 (talk) 16:21, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@TropicAces: -- 109.78.207.148 (talk) 16:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored the 4 countries UK, France, Ireland, and USA with the BFI as a source. -- 109.78.207.148 (talk) 00:51, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Budget

[edit]

The budget was previously listed as $40 million (based on Box Office Mojo) but I noticed The Numbers put the budget higher at $50 million and added that number too.[3] (Template:Infobox film warns not to cherry pick sources.) But then I found CNN said the budget was $70 million[4] which sounds implausibly high, so perhaps they were including other costs such as marketing and distribution too. Even at $40 million TEoR is already the most expensive of the three Bridget Jones films. -- 109.78.207.148 (talk) 01:01, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Merge soundtrack article?

The result of this discussion was unanimous Merge . Muhandes (talk) 13:38, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Even when the soundtrack album is notable per WP:NALBUM and/or WP:GNG, I have concerns about the ability of the article "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (soundtrack)" to grow well and to hold on its own as stand-alone article. Furthermore, the soundtrack itself mostly contains previously released songs. Somehow, my merger was reverted. --George Ho (talk) 23:16, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
