[edit]This page formerly held a list of breweries in Vermont. Recent changes resulted in the retention of two items from this list (shown with italics) and the loss of the remainder:
- Alchemist Brewery - Waterbury, Vermont
- Harpoon Brewery - Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, largest plant in Windsor, Vermont
- Long Trail Brewing Company - Bridgewater Corners, Vermont
- Magic Hat Brewing Company - South Burlington, Vermont - Owned by North American Breweries - Rochester, New York
- Otter Creek Brewing - Middlebury, Vermont - Bridgewater, Vermont
- Rock Art Brewery - Morrisville, Vermont
- Brewery at Trapp Family Lodge - Stowe, Vermont
- Trout River Brewing - Lyndonville, Vermont
In my opinion the article as it stands now is a mess and has mostly unreliable citations.
- The first paragraph under Beer Styles is full of non-notable people, including "Mitch Steele, head brewer of Stone Brewing Company, states the Darkside Black IPA was the inspiration for Stone's Sublimely Self Righteous Ale". Stone Brewing is in California, Mitch is non-notable, the entire paragraph seems irrelevant. This article now reads like an advertisement for Alchemist Brewery with the ommission of other larger and well known breweries from the same page.
- The Alchemist is wikilinked twice in the same section.
- The citations are not of good quality; most are from beer brewing organizations, none are from the New York Times, books or other reputable sources. The policy WP:Breweries requires verifiable, reputable sources.
I recommend this article be rewritten without the advertising section for Alchemist Brewery, and more reliable sources added to it, and the list of the other breweries in Vermont be restored to it. Ellin Beltz (talk) 17:39, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
