I will start this review soon! --K. Peake 15:32, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
Infobox and lead
[edit]- Pipe Tim Pagnotta to Sugarcult in the infobox
- "by American band" → "by American supergroup" with the pipe
- I don't know if this is necessary. Linking supergroup would create a sea of blue, and Dreamcar themselves does not refer to themselves as a supergroup, despite publications doing so.
- It does make sense for avoiding that sea somewhat, but I removed the pipe in the body to avoid linking elsewhere. --K. Peake 16:36, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know if this is necessary. Linking supergroup would create a sea of blue, and Dreamcar themselves does not refer to themselves as a supergroup, despite publications doing so.
- Change debut album to debut studio album
- Add the release year in brackets instead
- Pipe Tim Pagnotta to Sugarcult
- "written by the group's four members:" → "written by the group's four members"
- "It was released" → "The song was released"
- The sentence about the lyrical content should be after the ones about the comp and style of the song
- "It is an upbeat" → "It is an" because the upbeat part is not notable when you mention the actual beat later on in the sentence
- "it was compared and" → "the song was compared and"
- "the group's previous single, "Kill for Candy" (2017)." → "Dreamcar's previous single "Kill for Candy"." with the pipe
- Pipe music critics to Music journalism
Background and release
[edit]- "first studio album Dreamcar (2017)." → "first studio album Dreamcar."
- "Kanal and Young, and" → "Kanal, and Young, while"
- "doe the song," → "for the song,"
- Are you sure the digital download and streaming release in various countries is backed up, as the only download retailer linked to is Amazon US since Spotify is streaming only?
- I changed the region parameter to "United States" since there was no Apple Music single release, just a pre-order/download option on the album's Apple Music page.
- "Dreamcar's second overall" → "Dreamcar's second one overall"
- "It serves as the" → "It served as the"
- "pre-ordered Dreamcar.[9][10] On the album, "Born to Lie" appears as the third song." → "pre-ordered the album.[9][10] On May 12, 2017, "Born to Lie" was included as the third song on Dreamcar."
Composition and lyrics
[edit]- Img looks good!
- Swap the Mxdwn and COS refs to be in the same order as the prose
- "which he said contradicted" → "which he said contradicts"
- "He compared it to" → "He compared the former to"
- "leaned more towards" → "leans more towards"
- "than its predecessor." → "than the predecessor."
- Wikilink bass guitar
- Wikilink pre-chorus per MOS:LINK2SECT
- Wikilink chord progressions per WP:NOPIPE
- "sings in new style" → "sings in a new style"
- "just a little"." → "just a little."" per MOS:QUOTE on full sentences
Critical reception
[edit]- Pipe music critics to Music journalism
- "on "Born to Lie"." → "on the song." to avoid writing the title in both of the first two sentences
- Avoid using "claimed" per WP:CLAIM
- "performances provided "enough" → "performances provide "enough"
Track listing
[edit]- Good
Credits and personnel
[edit]- Pipe Tim Pagnotta to Sugarcult
Release history
[edit]- The Digital download is not backed up as being various (see my earlier comment)
References
[edit]- Copyvio score looks amazing at 12.3%!!!
- Regarding refs 4 and 5, shouldn't you add numerous Apple Music citations instead to verify a various release?
- Mxdwn.com → mxdwn on ref 15
External links
[edit]- Good
Final comments and verdict
[edit]- On hold until all of the issues are fixed, after a rather quick review! --K. Peake 17:24, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- Kyle Peake – thanks again for the review. I believe I edited the article accordingly and left a couple comments above. Let me know if there is anything else I can do, thanks. Carbrera (talk) 16:25, 29 March 2021 (UTC).
- Carbrera ✓ Pass now after I removed that one pipe for you; everything else looks good! --K. Peake 16:36, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
