I have created this page because it is a notable Italian law firm that played an important part in the development of corporate law, M&A and securities offerings in Italy and Europe more generally. There are wikipedia pages for US, UK and other country law firms so I think consistency dictates that Italian law firms are fair game as well. There is no spam in this article and it has a neutral point of view. I also think it touches on consolidation and globalization of the legal field and therefore is very relevant and encyclopedic. --Mediterraneo (talk) 06:43, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
English Language Notability?
[edit]I have looked into this law firm and it is certainly notable. Does it meet notability guidelines for English Language Wikipedia? How notable is it to the American/British world? That is why it is suspect... I may be wrong...Dough007 (talk) 07:17, 29 April 2008 (UTC).
Re English language notability
[edit]I think it is notable to a reader who might be interested in the development and globalization of the legal profession. It is the best friend firm to Magic Circle law firm Slaughter & May and works in conjunction with white shoe firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore. I think it is an important edition to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Law. As the provision of legal services becomes increasingly globalized and international, most major transactions will involve different firms working together across jurisdictions. I am working on a piece called 'globalization of the legal profession,' and hopefully once that is up, the need for specific non-US/non-UK law firm pages will become more apparent. --Mediterraneo (talk) 15:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Proposed Deletion
[edit]I have removed the proposed deletion notice posted by @Piotrus:, because this business meets WP:COMPANY, there are multiple reliable independent non-trivial sources in the legal press and in the Italian media.--Samuel J. Howard (talk) 21:18, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
"Leading firm"
[edit]@Ukexpat: and @Theroadislong: and possibly others have removed the description "leading" from the article lede, despite the fact that this is cited in the source. Please discuss here why this cited information should not be included in the article. --Samuel J. Howard (talk) 20:39, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
- The term "leading" is POV, not neutral, means nothing and tells us nothing more about the firm, it's hard to tell if it's cited as the reference is in italian. Theroadislong (talk) 21:13, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
