NXT Tapping dates

[edit]

At the bottom of the article talking about the NXT tapings after NXT Arrival, are the dates right? They say May first. Do they mean April? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:3AC3:5AE9:DCC2:1A2C:A604:1F2C (talk) 00:18, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Bo Dallas

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Bo Dallas's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "WWEbio":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 15:18, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wish-bo

[edit]

This move name is clearly a play on a wishbone and how you split the 2 halves apart. It was a combination move he did with Stardust at Survivor Series tonight, I believe it was JBL who called it that.

Does anyone know the technical name of this maneuver? I know I've seen others do it.

It does work better with a team (1 pulling per leg) but I think a single wrestler could do it too.

In this case it was weird though because the member of the Dudleys they did it on, his knees didn't really move that much a apart. It was more the feet and his hip sockets just internally rotated. Ranze (talk) 02:18, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Uncle howdy speculation

[edit]

Currently he is not confirmed to be uncle howdy. Anyone saying he is purely speculating on an unconfirmed theory at this point in time. 92.13.64.67 (talk) 00:13, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are several sites that have reported that Bo Dallas is Uncle Howdy, I’m not sure if they count as reputable enough (eg https://www.ringsidenews.com/2023/08/26/uncle-howdy-trends-as-fans-call-for-his-wwe-return-to-continue-story/
and

Requested move 18 June 2024

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: not moved. WP:SNOW close. There's never going to be a consensus to move this soon, and WP:COMMONNAME applies. (closed by non-admin page mover)Czello (music) 07:00, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bo DallasUncle Howdy – Officially recognised as such again by WWE.com and WWE on X in their Raw coverage from last night.[1] The only logical thing to name a wrestler's page to is the gimmick they are currently using. Mechanical Elephant (talk) 06:22, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

* Oppose. As of yet it is entirely unclear if he’ll still go by Uncle Howdy. He might as well go by Howdy Wyatt or something else entirely. We should wait for at least a few weeks, aside the obvious issues with WP:COMMONNAME. DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 12:04, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support. WWE referred to him as 'Uncle Howdy' as he returned. https://x.com/WWE/status/1802900040324718726 CallMeHyphen (talk) 15:22, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So? --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 16:19, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So... Rotunda's ring name now, and going forward, will be Uncle Howdy; and he has more recently become recognised as 'Uncle Howdy' as opposed to 'Bo Dallas'. CallMeHyphen (talk) 16:28, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rotunda has benn called Bo Dallas for 12 years. Changing names based on recentism is not good. please, read WP:Commonname. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 16:51, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Due to the significance of Howdy's return, I think it's safe to say thatg renaming here is the best course of action. CallMeHyphen (talk) 17:41, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I know how this goes. The new name is super duper important. Then, changes the name back to Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdy it's not important anymore, Bo Dallas is the new important name. Everytime it's the same old story... --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 18:05, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
