following the typical curve of wiki articles, getting more and more obtuse, less valuable to anyone other than authors

Better lead and Pictures
[edit]I think in addition to taking out fluff within the article to make it more concise, there should be a focus on improving the lead. It should cover more of what is talked about in the article. Also there should be pictures added in to illustrate different examples within the article.
