The discussion page is blank, and it's a low-importance article, so I took the initiative and made some changes. First, I edited the text to make clear that the basin is not limited to Alabama. I also clarified the nature of the basin and crosslinked "sedimentary basin", "Pennsylvanian", and "Pottsville" to relevant Wiki articles. I deleted the line that claimed the basin was centered on Tuscaloosa and Jefferson county, the basin extends northwest into Mississippi and nearly to the Tennessee border.
I added an external link to the Union Chapel mine Lagerstatte. I suggest further elaborate a select few of the formations in the basin that are productive, including fossil content and paleoenvironments when relevant. Posting some of the tectonic interpretations of the basin's origins would be a useful future project as well. Geogene (talk) 00:31, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
