ArtsWave and ArtWorks
[edit]@1Blackartspeaks: I'm starting this discussion as I notice you keep removing the references to these groups. The inclusion of them is based on the source in that sentence - and a quick Google shows other references. What's your justification for removal? — Czello (music) 13:38, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Neither group helped to paint the mural. In 2020, Artswave donated money as did 5 other organizations and a the community donated via a gofundme account. Artswork did not donate nor did they participate in creating the mural. In subsequent years only the City and Black Art Speaks donated money and time. I updated it with the full story but you removed it so I went to the short version. It is not fair to give credit to groups who did not help create nor paint this mural. In fact the person who pulled this entire mural together had the vision and raised the money isn't mentioned at all. You keep changing this to half truths with is disrespectful to the people who did the work. If you want to list the groups that donated money year one provide the full list and not just pick a few. 1Blackartspeaks (talk) 05:33, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Wikipedia works from what reliable sources say; the mention of ArtsWave and ArtsWorks appears to be well backed by sources. — Czello (music) 08:52, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Also please don't continue to revert until consensus is achieved here. — Czello (music) 10:12, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Also the news article by Ann Thompson was inaccurate and all other news outlets reported corrected. A book was also published showing the correct information. You are giving credit to the wrong people. Please do the homework first, please. 1Blackartspeaks (talk) 11:52, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Instead of just saying that the sources are wrong, could you show what you would consider the "right" source for this? If we don't know what book you are talking about, we can't help. Thanks, Schminnte (talk • contribs) 11:59, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I did change it prior to me reading your full note. Let me know how best to proceed. 1Blackartspeaks (talk) 12:01, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- If you just give us a URL link to the book and a page number then we can evaluate the source and whether to use it or now. Thanks, Schminnte (talk • contribs) 12:02, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

Blm mural articles and information
[edit]I tried to add url sources however it would not allow me. 1Blackartspeaks (talk) 12:21, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- That's odd. Try to paste one in a reply to this message. Thanks, Schminnte (talk • contribs) 12:23, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- If it's a youtube link or other short URL you will need to use the full URL. You can do this by copying and pasting the link as it appears in your search bar. Schminnte (talk • contribs) 12:26, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
