Proposed merge
[edit]It has been proposed that this article should be merged with oil shale.
- Support - This result from Google Ngrams [1] suggests that Oil shale took over from Bituminous shale about a hundred years ago as the widely used term. Mikenorton (talk) 19:24, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support: "Bituminous shale" seems to be just an old name for oil shale. Plazak (talk) 04:47, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- New proposal. The information about usage is already included in Oil shale and History of the oil shale industry. Therefore it should be removed from this article. As the lead of this article, it probably should {{tl:Transwiki to Wiktionary}} and after that this page should be redirected to oil shale. Any thoughts? Beagel (talk) 15:46, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
