[edit]

Bismillah is an extremely important Arabic phrase and should link directly to its meaning. Therefore, a designated disambiguation page makes sense and is not inconsistent with arguments on the (now deleted) talk page. -- 09:04, 21 June 2009 UnicornTapestry

Bohemian Rhapsody

[edit]

Is this the same phrase that's used in Bohemian Rhapsody (Bis Mil Ah! We will not let you go! Let him go! Bis! Mil! Ah!) or is that unrelated coincidence? If so, what's the significance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.91.237.98 (talk) 21:47, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really the first "word" of the Quran?

[edit]

I am brand new to learning Arabic but... it looks like two words to me?

بِسْمِ اللّهِ
Bismi llah

So would it be more appropriate to say that "bismillah" is a shortened form of the first two words of the Qur'an? I don't know, I am just asking. Viglulino (talk) 13:14, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That wasn't fantastic wording, no. I've amended it. Iskandar323 (talk) 17:58, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

BismillahBismillah (disambiguation) – The term Bismillah has a main topic, Basmala, with respect to long term significance; usage of this term are generally in reference to said main topic. As such, the disambiguation should be moved, and a redirect should be created at this title. NasssaNser 07:31, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
