[edit]

Per Wikipedia content guidelines on reliable sources for medicine, we shouldn't be creating an article about human brain size worldwide without considerably better sources than those found so far in this article. You may find it helpful while reading or editing articles to look at a bibliography of Anthropology and Human Biology Citations, posted for the use of all Wikipedians who have occasion to edit articles on human genetics and related issues. I happen to have circulating access to a huge academic research library system at a university with an active research program in these issues (and to other academic libraries in the same large metropolitan area) and have been researching these issues from time to time since 1989. You are welcome to use these citations for your own research. You can help other Wikipedians by suggesting new sources through comments on that page. It will be extremely helpful for articles on human genetics to edit them according to the Wikipedia standards for reliable sources for medicine-related articles, as it is important to get these issues as well verified as possible. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 12:56, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Turns out the this editor has been blocked as a sock of User:Mikemikev which says it all as far as the WP:NPA violations are concerned. MarnetteD|Talk 17:42, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As far I can see their is correlation between winter tempeture and brainside around some -.5 to -.8, if we look at this map. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lynn_RDI_Table_16_2_Scatterplot.png

I can find the specific correlation if you want to. But it is high.MicroMacroMania (talk) 19:08, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I calculated the correlation in excel between winter temperature and brain size.. it is -0,63 which i high to moderate correlation. Richard lynn also notes it in his book race difference intelligence MicroMacroMania (talk) 19:17, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your calculations are irrelevant. The mateial you added misrepresented the original 1984 article, which you made out to argue the opposite of what it actually argued. The beals et al. study also note the correlation between temperature and cranial capscity, but explain it though smple anatomical adaption to heat with no meditation of brain size and cognitive function. That makes a lot more sense since the correlation between cognitive funciton and brain size is extremely problematic.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 14:28, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Huh? I read the article through it seemed to me it argued for that :( Btw. The article did not go far, what about merging this page with the article on brain size? MicroMacroMania (talk) 09:39, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It very clearly states the exact opposite. I think merging would be a good idea.User:Maunus ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 13:36, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I apologies for that.. And anyway good you agreed with the merger.. :) MicroMacroMania (talk) 15:13, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
