'gender binary supporting white supremacy'

[edit]

in what universe does having 2 genders support white supremacy? why is wikipedia allowing ultra liberal political views to be presented as fact on this page? Benga502 (talk) 11:35, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This article doesn't even present what you criticize as a fact. It attributes it: The gender binary has been critiqued by scholars of intersectionality, who say that it is a structure that maintains patriarchal and white supremacist norms as part of an interlocking hierarchical system of gender and race. Your opinion on that claim is irrelevant, because we go by what reliable sources say, not editors' opinions. -- Maddy from Celeste (WAVEDASH) 11:44, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
id love to see that 'reliable source' 's evidence to support this claim because its utter nonsense. no surprise also that a supporter of that whole ideology is the one criticising my take on this as an enemy of common sense Benga502 (talk) 19:07, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Benga502, please stick to content instead of attacking an editor who took the time to answer your question. Can I politely point you in the direction of Wikipedia:Civility. Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 19:10, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you would sincerely "love to see" the evidence, then look up the sources cited and read them for yourself. Funcrunch (talk) 19:31, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The syntagma gender binary isn't simply about experiencing a binary gender, it's more than that if you read about the concept, especially "gender binarism". Since its coining it's used specifically to criticize. Web-julio (talk) 21:40, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
