his name?

I am German, and the name "Bill Alexander" doesn't sound German to me. It sounds British. Could it be he changed (anglisized) his name when he went to the USA? Swastika shows up as thumbnail in Facebook link

Good day!

Not sure where I'm supposed to post this, but I saw a friend's post on FB about this fellow and the thumbnail was a swastika. (I tried uploading a screenshot of it but Wikipedia wouldn't accept it)

I suspect that the issue is that the system (Facebook? Wikipedia?) automatically picks the first image on the page as the thumbnail and since the swastika is the first thing that shows up, that's the image it gets.

Perhaps, if they are available, a sample of a piece of his work or something similar could be placed ahead of that to test this hypothesis / replace an unfortunate connotation? The article suggests he is a draftee, doesn't mention how fervent his support (or lack thereof) of the Nazi regieme, and it wouldn't be appropriate, I think, to suggest, through the thumbnail, that that is what he should be known / remembered for.

Jealousy?

From what I am reading in the article, it sounds like Bill was becoming jealous of Bob Ross, which makes no sense and is rather sad. How can a teacher honestly be jealous of his or her student for doing so well. Nosehair2200 (talk) 05:06, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
