Of course this "stub" is basically just a hook for the website, but it would be good for "Do you know... that Huntsville, Alabama's Big Spring Jam, an annual music festival, usually occurs on the fourth weekend in September?"
Why isn't this two-liner an aside at Huntsville, Alabama? --Wetman 04:05, 30 July 2005 (UTC)--Wetman 04:05, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
They have recently extended the park, built a bridge on the road adjoining it to the west, and have added a fountain near the VBC. And a picture wouldn't be bad, either... --Travlr23 03:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
If we get some good sunny weather on a day when I'm not extremely busy before fall (I want to get a non-seasonal picture), I'll go and take some pictures of the park, and while I'm at it, get info from the plaques on the lighthouse and the like. --Anivron 06:17, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Done. I took a bunch of pictures and have begun uploading to the commons. A few are already up on various Huntsville-related pages including this one. I'll be adding others I took in the near future and probably have a Commons category for the park. --Anivron 22:44, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Greatly expanded the article and cited several sources. Hopefully this establishes the significance (especially historical) of the park beyond its usage as a festival venue. I also removed a case of blatant soapboxing. Anivron (talk) 07:15, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
