Big Run, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania → Big Run, Pennsylvania – Move over existing unpopulated disambiguation page. Standard naming convention for US place name. Dab page lists two other "Big Run"s in Pennsylvania (without articles), one of which only has seven structures, and the other of which only has 30. The incorporated borough of Big Run in Jefferson County is clearly the primary topic. Ken Gallager (talk) 14:36, 9 November 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. - Comment GeoNames does indeed show 3 settlements with this name, the Big Run, Pennsylvania should probably be merged with Big Run regardless of if this move is done. Unlike other countries that use commas purely to disambiguate (UK countries for example) WP:USPLACE does appear to allow PTs for Placename, State, which aren't considered WP:PDABs, like Carlisle, Ohio/Carlisle, Noble County, Ohio. - Topics without articles do not count for determining what disambiguator to use. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 01:39, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Crouch, Swale:, no, Big Run, Pennsylvania should not be merged with Big Run, as it is a different complete name. "Pennsylvania" as a component of the name is not a disambiguator in the way that "(band)" or "(film)" would be, because it would be expected by the reader to be part of the name. If Big Run, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania is moved to the primary topic, the other meanings can be dealt with in a hatnote, or, if there are too many of them, on a separate Big Run, Pennsylvania (disambiguation) page. bd2412 T 16:51, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- The current is consistent with
- which is not nothing.
- the others in Pennsylvania:
- Big Run (East Branch Fishing Creek), in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania
- Big Run (Little Muncy Creek), in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania
- Big Run (West Branch Fishing Creek), in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania
- are creeks not places.
- Jefferson County is ambiguous, so Big Run, Jefferson County is out.
- Big Run, Pennsylvania is OK, but this doesn't need doing. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:33, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
