Rationale for disambiguation page
[edit]There were multiple stations in Galion. Two were passenger stations: for New York Central. Having only the NYC station by a redirect obscures the existence of the Erie station that was on a major line to Chicago. The Erie station lasted almost as long as the Big Depot, until 1970.Dogru144 (talk) 15:46, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- Erie station, at South Market Street, was a significant stop between Mansfield on the east and Marion to the west. Examples of major trains stopping mid-century: in 1940: the Midlander, Erie Limited and Pacific Express (westbound) and Atlantic Express (eastbound).Dogru144 (talk) 15:54, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
