Is the 25h anniv special really a part of BB25?
[edit]I'm not sure about this, should it be listed as a standalone entry at List of Big Brother (American TV series) episodes (2020–present), or is it really considered a numbered episode as a part of Big Brother 25? Zaathras (talk) 23:53, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- In it's current state, based on the title, it makes the most sense here. In terms of years, it's not actually the 25th anniversary, which means CBS is using it in reference to this season. That means it's best grouped as an episode of the season. If the episode largely consists of flashbacks to previous seasons and no references to the 25th season, then we can discus relocating it. If it serves more as an introduction to this season, maybe introducing the cast or featuring a house tour, then it undoubtedly belongs here. TheDoctorWho (talk) 04:10, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- Within a month, it became clear the 25th anniversary special from last Wednesday is NOT part of Big Brother 25 as it only shows highlights from the past 24 seasons without any major references to this season. Furthermore, Paramount+ has listed this episode separately from the full episodes list, regardless of what season one chooses to watch. Therefore, we should do the same and have a separate location for it. 9March2019 (talk) 22:11, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
- Where would you put it? It’s not numbered as part of the season. Bgsu98 (Talk) 00:43, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

- On List of Big Brother (American TV series) episodes (2020–present), separate it into its own "Specials" header. Zaathras (talk) 01:05, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Go for it, then. Bgsu98 (Talk) 01:23, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have no objections on it being moved to the LoE page or even just removing it in its entirety since it seems to officially be an episode of ET rather than BB. However, if it is going to stay in this articles episode listing, it doesn't need a table of it's own, that's the purpose of the part header that is already labeled as "special". Multiverse Twists
[edit]Should we add a section in format for the different twists tied to each multiverse? E51539 (talk) 01:27, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- I would think any twists so far can be included in the individual episode summaries. Bgsu98 (Talk) 01:58, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Is the twist section like the one we have on BB24 usually made after the season finishes? E51539 (talk) 02:15, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Since roughly 2018 we've been trying to slowly align Big Brother articles to better follow MOS:TV rather than be WP:FANCRUFT and written from an WP:INUNIVERSE perspective. Because of that we've reworked the twists section this year into the Format changes and additions" subsection. If the information tied to the multiverse can be written from a WP:NPOV with reliable sources and from an overall view, then by all means please contribute. Otherwise the information, and the more specific details, should be added to the episodes summaries. TheDoctorWho (talk) 02:25, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

Generally, such twists would be summarized in the Format changes and additions subsection. They would only be further explained in the Voting history subsection if they bear a direct influence on the results. Any twist could also be mentioned in the Critical response subsection if relevant. For example, the upcoming Invincibility Twist grants the holder the power to cancel one of the next two evictions, which will certainly be brought up there. Furthermore, some have speculated this twist may have been created in response to an unexpected expulsion from three weeks ago. 9March2019 (talk) 21:48, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
Controversy vs Critical Response
[edit]Can we change the section name from Controversy to Critical response? To me, "controversy" sounds opinion-based because people have different opinions on what they consider controversial. On the other hand, "critical response" focuses more on facts and plus the name serves as a reminder to only bring up significant issues with each season of Big Brother. The criteria for significance would be reliable independent sources discussing the matter, whether or not aired within the episode(s). 9March2019 (talk) 22:26, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- I was bold and went ahead and implemented the change, I've always written TV articles with the header critical response so I have no objections and agree with what you said above. I was actually contemplating this change yesterday when I expanded on the section. If someone disagrees I'm happy to discuss further. TheDoctorWho (talk) 03:27, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- I think it looks good! Bgsu98 (Talk) 03:56, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
Edit
[edit]Luke has been removed from the intro can someone add that please 2600:1009:B122:4AE5:DDF9:42ED:312B:162D (talk) 08:01, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Add what, and why? Bgsu98 (Talk) 10:46, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'd assume the IP is referring to the fact that Valentine was removed from the opening credits of the series. Unfortunately no secondary sources mention this fact, if it was absolutely necessary to include it, it would probably be best sourced to the episode itself, although I'm not sure that it is. TheDoctorWho (talk) 15:59, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- Actually, it would be mentioned within the Critical response section (Luke Valentine's usage of an ethnic slur) because his removal from the opening credits would be traced to his expulsion. I can't think of any other reason he would be excluded from opening credits. Of course, there may be sources picking up on the fact later on. But for now, it's considered WP:FANCRUFT. 9March2019 (talk) 22:14, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

Jared alias
[edit]I think there should be a note in the houseguests section explaining what surname Jared Fields is using in Big Brother. I don't know what it is so could someone that knows please make the edit? (78.18.46.105 (talk) 19:40, 24 August 2023 (UTC))
- Only if a reliable source has taken note of it. Zaathras (talk) 01:20, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
Josh Duhamel POV competition
[edit]Did Jared win the power of veto or get it? A podcast host claimed Matt won the competition but chose to hang out with a cardboard cutout of Josh Duhamel instead. Could someone please clarify that? (78.18.46.105 (talk) 21:14, 16 September 2023 (UTC))
- Yes, Matt won the competition, but chose a different prize and let Jared keep the POV medallion. Zaathras (talk) 00:21, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
Invisible HOH
[edit]The episodes are not up to date. When they are updated will someone mention that Jag told everyone he was the invisible HOH? (193.120.157.167 (talk) 18:05, 20 October 2023 (UTC))

Please change "New York City, New York" to "New York, New York" for both Izzy and Blue's hometowns.
REASONING:
"New York City" is not the actual name of the city. It's just "New York" or "New York, NY" in the city comma state format as seen on pages like this (for Blue and Izzy): https://parade.com/tv/big-brother-25-cast-photos-interview
People only say "New York City" colloquially to distinguish it from the larger New York State, but you don't include "City" when you do the city comma state format.
It's also worth pointing out that "New York, NY" is the postal format for Manhattan, which is why America's hometown is listed at the Parade link as "Brooklyn, NY" even though it's technically in the same city as "New York, NY." Mattitudinal (talk) 19:01, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
When was Jared actually EVICTED?? Wasn't Cameron EVICTED TWICE??
[edit]We see CONFLICTING information in regards to the DAY(S) that JARED and CAMERON WERE EVICTED.. Is it Day 51 or Day 58 for Jared? Was Cameron evicted twice-- Day 51 and Day 72? Or just once??
Can we please get this addressed and uniformed to eliminate confusion for viewers and continuity and consistency. There are discrepancies in what is displayed in the voting table vs. the Housequest list vs. the list of BB US houseguests?? Uniformity PLEASE!
Thanks!! 155.190.3.5 (talk) 20:45, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, the contestants table specifies what day the contestant exited the house and the voting table specifies what day the contestant was evicted. Jared and Cameron were both evicted on day 51, but Jared did not exit until day 58. Cameron did not exit until after his second eviction. Bgsu98 (Talk) 20:47, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
- They did EXIt the house though? They both walked out of the house and spoke with Julie.... then went back in as zombies and played the next week to RE-ENTER the game? I'm confused at how your notation of this on the page is so conflicting? 155.190.3.5 (talk) 19:58, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Also if that was the case, why is Jag reflected as having exited then? 155.190.3.5 (talk) 20:05, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Bowie Jane real name Miranda Ball
[edit]Because it includes legal names for multiple other houseguests (Jag, Izzy, Matt), should Bowie Jane's legal name, Miranda Ball, be included? Bowie Jane is just her stage name.

Not sure where to put it but should mention somewhere Bowie Jane is lying about age
[edit]not quite sure where It should be listed but it probably should be listed that Bowie Jane, though 46 during the season claimed to be 35. BBeachBall (talk) 02:49, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reality TV contestants lie as easily as they breathe, it is an aspect of most of the games. Has a reliable source covered the lying in question? If not, then it is not worthy of inclusion. Zaathras (talk) 22:13, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
