Deleted some problematic material

[edit]

The version before the present one contained some problematic material concerning Dr. Dodson's educational background. I removed that material as potentially libelous, poorly sourced, and POV.

I have removed my prior comment on this page as no longer relevant (see History for details). Timothy Perper 18:03, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that editor JoshuaZ has reverted my deletion of potentially libelous material. I question the wisdom of this decision. Timothy Perper 17:31, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Editor JoshuaZ unreverted his changes, and I think that was the proper decision. Thank you. Timothy Perper 09:13, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
From TP: I thought I'd add a note about the substance of this debate. It concerns accreditation and/or approval to offer college or other advanced degrees in the state of California. Approval was issued to IASHS by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education of the State of California, which, at the time, regulated the operation of such institutions in California. This is not the same as general accreditation for colleges like UCLA or Stanford, but applies to specialty schools that offer specialty training. Another example of such a school is Christ the King College (Reference accessed October 3, 2007):
"Christ the King College has been officially licensed to issue a Bachelor in Catholic Studies degree/ Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey is pleased to announce that the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education of the State of California's Department of Consumer Affairs has officially licensed Christ the King College to operate in order to grant a Bachelor of Catholic Studies degree. This means that Christ the King College is now legally able to accept students for admission."
IASHS has been similarly approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education of the State of California. (Reference accessed October 3, 2007). I hope this helps clarify some Wiki-verifiable bases of the discussion. Timothy Perper 11:39, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've created an article for this term and in doing some research have so far concluded that Betty Dodson is the earliest person that I have found a reference for using it. She isn't the only person as another popular sex researcher has used it in a widely publicized media outlet. I am wondering for anyone who is familiar with this term possible or with the interview in which she used it (it is referenced) if you know if she coined this or if anyone else might have used it prior to this. Well, somebody decided your topic was better served being merged with Moral panic, just so you know.LiPollis (talk) 08:45, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One-woman Art Showing

[edit]

My source for inserting that Dodson's one-woman art showing in 1968 was at the Wiskersham Gallery is: Talese, Gay; Thy Neighbor's Wife; Garden City, NY; Doubleday & Co.; p. 347 of the first edition. Dick Kimball (talk) 12:09, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure the person on the right is Betty Dodson the sex activist? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Funnyrob (talkcontribs) 02:10, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The current photo DOES NOT Depict Betty Dodson. The following link shows a photo from her own website. She is on the smaller, whitehaired lady and not the young gal and that lovely smile is almost always on her face: Betty Dodson Photo - The REAL Betty! we've been trying to get this cleared up for a while.LiPollis (talk) 08:41, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you are sure that it is not a photo of Betty Dodson, then the image must be deleted. From the website http://dodsonandross.com/ it is NOT Dodson. So I'm removing it. Timothy Perper (talk) 17:31, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The photo is not Betty Dodson — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:3823:6000:E081:FA0D:8D76:C239 (talk) 22:44, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cooperation

[edit]

Don't forget the cooperation with Carlin Ross and their coachings for women, who wished to experience an orgasm during penile vaginal intercourse with their male partner. This is how they met. Sciencia58 (talk) 10:31, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
